Dinner Outfit - Transitioning into Fall

IMG_3061 Don't get me wrong: I'm a die-hard fan of sundresses. But it gets to a certain point every summer where I've exhausted my summer wardrobe and I dream of wearing pants again. What I love about autumn and winter fashion is playing around with the extra layers to create a more unique look, something that is not as easy with minimal layers in the summer. Luckily for me, when August rolls around, the days are warm and the nights are cool so we essentially get the best of both worlds!

Two nights ago I had my last dinner with my parents and brother for a long time ( :( ) so we opted to go fancier. I took this as my opportunity to break out my fun, summery Pucci heels while keeping the rest of the look rather night-time, autumn-oriented (despite the fact that this outfit doesn't technically have any additional layers).

As the seasonal transition begins, I'm looking towards darker colors and balancing out top and bottom (ie. long sleeves and shorts or vice versa).
