OOTD: College Year 2 {Part 12}

So finals are approaching quickly from the horizon, and I'm getting back into the routine of going downtown to cram for work, then promptly getting distracted :).

Today Meg and I got brunch at Tapestry in the West Fens area of town (which is sooooooo underrated, by the way)! I've been in the neighborhood a few times now and it's so quaint and quiet. The only downside is that it's not super accessible by T, but I suppose that forces me to squeeze in 10k steps? Lol no.

Anyway, we had pesto and quinoa scrambled eggs with avo and then I nibbled at a Vanilla Glazed Capt'n Crunch donut. Literally SO. YUMMY. I like to think myself something of a donut connoisseur, and I give a solid 1 thumb-up here. Not two , though, cause I'm partial to Old-Fashioned's (but still).

Anyway, then we went to the South End to post-up in a cafe to do work. I wasn't nearly as productive as I would have liked to have been but what's new, eh? Walking through the South End is always a treat, and I'm convinced it doesn't matter what time of year it is. The fall was gorgeous and brightly colored, as you may have seen from my Instagram, but even in the winter when the leaves are falling, it starts to become decorated with Christmas lights and wreaths! And walking by the brownstones you can see Christmas trees in the windows and it is just the most delightful feeling in the world.

One more thing I'd like to add before talking about my outfit from today is that I'm changing up my blog and Instagram. You may have noticed the color-scheme of my Insta changing a bit and I'm much happier with the way they look now. Before it was very much all over the place. Yes, I love boosting the saturation and warming up the temperature of the photo. But that creates a hodge-podge of colors and it was just unprofessional and unfulfilling aesthetically. That probably sounds like very nerdy and superficial jargon but it's something that I enjoy so I don't associate it negatively, as such.

Anyway, here's my outfit. It's mostly new, actually. I knew I wanted to wear the new jeans I got, and the only thing that would tuck super well to show the frayed waist was my J.Crew turtleneck that I think I wear literally everyday. The coat was a must because it pulls together any outfit, and the sunnies seem to have the same effect. img_9319
